Toby Chance is the Managing Partner of BluePeak Private Capital, the Cape Town-, Nairobi-, and Lagos-headquartered Africa-focused alternative private credit investment manager, managing the BluePeak Africa Private Credit Opportunities Fund I ($150M, 2020 vintage) and BluePeak Fund II ($250M, 2023 vintage) with LP backing from the IFC, EIB, CDC/BII, FMO, and US DFC. A UCT BBusSci Honours graduate and LBS MSc Finance alumnus, Chance spent 18 years at Standard Bank Group and the IFC before founding BluePeak in 2018 with specific mandate to build the leading Nigerian specialty finance, education, and business services private credit platform.
